Review and recommend from my friend.
#1 : I appreciate it as an efficient, effective machine - even a thing of beauty. But you can't make me love it. And it scares me just a little that so many of you love it so loudly.
#2 : The Pixar team are true masters of their craft. Their stellar cinematic efforts do indeed go to infinity and beyond
#3 : Make no mistake: this Toy Story trilogy, and Toy Story 3 in particular, is a great work of art - one of the cleverest pieces of story-telling magic that Hollywood has ever conjured.
#4 : I seem to be defending each issue with a surprising amount of forgiveness. Maybe it's one of those amazing conundrums where you love the stuff it does, but you hate how it gets there, and you're stuck with this push-pull of pleasure and remorse.
#5 : More than with any other Pixar film, there's an edge and sadness that clings to Toy Story 3, even as it's bouncing from one zany situation to the next or trotting out some impossibly cute toy character.

Review and recommend from my friend.
#1 : The Prestige quite brilliantly replicates the experience of a great magic trick. You know what you have just seen isn't possible, and while you recognize some of the trickery, you can't spell it all out. You walk away completely amazed.
#2 : Director Nolan's fascination with magic and with tricks in general comes through without question, but he approaches the subject with a seriousness that soon turns grim.
#3 : A great contraption of a film, The Prestige is a classy little maze of distractions, obsessions and showmanship, a magic trick of a movie that keeps the viewer mesmerized and then ends with a flourish.
#4 : Christopher Nolan’s The Prestige revisits some of the same themes -- questioning appearances, reality and perceptions -- as the director’s previous Memento but with less satisfying results.
#5 : If you can forgive some woeful casting and a plot that is as creakingly thin as an old staircase, you can enjoy director Christopher Nolan's The Prestige.

Review and recommend from my friend.
#1 : Like its predecessor, Iron Man 2 is a fine example of how impressive big budget studio filmmaking can be when it's done right.
#2 : Marvel are so excited about The Avengers that they’ve decided to make a 2-hour advert for it, pass it off as a film and charge admission.
#3 : I’d have told even non-comic book fans to see the original Iron Man. I’d recommend this sequel mostly to the initiated... which probably accounts for 80 percent of all moviegoers.
#4 : Iron Man 2 rocks. It does so literally and loudly, thanks to lots of licks interspersed through the soundtrack from metal mavens AC/DC. No slow spots. No sequel let down.
#5 : Iron Man 2 does what it can within the confines of what it has to do. The Hollywood machine has trained us to have certain expectations for blockbuster sequels and this film neither deviates nor blazes new territory.

Review "Galaxy Quest"

Directors: Dean Parisot
Format: AC-3, Color, Dolby, Dubbed, Subtitled, Widescreen
Language: English
Subtitles: English, French, Portuguese, Spanish

Number of discs: 1
Rated: PG (Parental Guidance Suggested)
Studio: Paramount
DVD Release Date: November 17, 2009
Run Time: 101 minutes

Review and recommend from my friend.

#1 : This science-fiction comedy is so extremely silly, so inventively goofy, that even those who aren't diehard Trekkies may find something to like about it.
#2 : Each actor plays an actor playing the sci-fi characters. It's a bit difficult to keep track of who's who, and ultimately the characters are so underdeveloped it's even more difficult to care.
#3 : It has fun with the characters, the dilemmas, the imagery, and source of inspiration. Without genuine depth, however, the film will have a hard time reeling in a widespread audience.
#4 : This movie is more than one joke or one idea. It's a thoroughly satisfying comedy -- and a respectable space adventure, as well.
#5 : This movie really is for the whole family. It's funny, it has some really cool creatures and special effects, a heart-warming story and even a very slick ending, tied directly into one of those super-fan convention halls.

Review and recommend from my friend.

#1 : It's a thrilling action-adventure saga with exhilarating 3-D animation, a clever comedy with witty dialogue, a coming-of-age tale with surprising depth and a sweetly poignant tale of friendship between man and animal.
#2 : The 3-D throughout How to Train Your Dragon is perhaps the best match with animation yet -- exhilarating when it's supposed to be, yet integrated into the film rather than seemingly pasted on.
#3 : There are times the action lags, and when the dialogue falls back on pop cultural references it feels contrived and forced but, mostly, like the mythical creatures at the heart of this tale, the movie soars.
#4 : At a time when Hollywood seems to be releasing everything this side of Dead Sea Scrolls documentaries in 3-D, How to Train Your Dragon is a briskly paced computer-animated entertainment that uses the format to maximum effect, the way Avatar does.
#5 : It’s more coming-of-age dramedy or “everything about your world view is wrong” message movie than it is a comedy. And that seems like a waste of a funny book, some very funny actors and some darned witty animation.
